Database Configurations and Supported
Databases
Paradigm Software supplies Paradigm II in
standard format with Microsoft Access as the database.
We recommend customers use this configuration for
systems up to 4 concurrent users. For 5 concurrent
access however, SQL or Oracle is recommended especially
with ActiveNet. For 6 and beyond concurrent users,
Paradigm Software recommends either Microsoft SQL
or Oracle. Please note SQL and Oracle product licensing
is NOT covered by the Paradigm II licence.
Paradigm supports SQL version 6.5 or greater and
Oracle version 8i or greater
